MTA Alert: Important Weekend Changes for the A, C and G Trains

Major weekend changes scheduled for the A, C and G lines

Bed-Stuy residents, the weather will be warm, and there’s a lot to do this weekend.

But if you plan on taking the subway to get around, first check out the following route changes of MTA lines running out of Bedford-Stuyvesant, to plan your trip accordingly.

The A Line

Until June 2011:
Manhattan-bound A trains skip Beach 36 St and Beach 60 St.

Nights
From Friday, May 20, 11:30 pm to Saturday, May 21, 6:00 am,
From Saturday, May 21, 11:30 pm to Sunday, May 22, 7:00 am; and
From Sunday, May 22, 11:30 pm to Monday, May 23, 5:00 am Sun
Uptown A trains skip 72 St, 81 St, 86 St, 96 St, 103 St, 110 St and 116 St.

The G Line

Weekend
Beginning at Friday, May 20, at 11:30 pm, to Monday, May 23, 5:00 am, no G trains will run between Hoyt-Schermerhorn Sts and Church Avenue. Trains will operate in two sections:
1. Between Court Sq and Bedford-Nostrand Avs
2. Between Bedford-Nostrand Avs and Hoyt-Schermerhorn Sts, every 20 minutes.
Take the A from Hoyt-Schermerhorn St to Jay St-MetroTech for shuttle bus options.

The C Line

Weekend
Beginning Saturday, May 21, 6:30 am to  Sunday, May 22 at midnight, no C trains will operate between Manhattan and Brooklyn; trains are rerouted to F line
between West 4 St and 2 Av, the last stop.
For Spring, Canal or Chambers Sts, take the A or E.
For Brooklyn, take the A or F instead.  F trains run on the C between Jay St/MetroTech and Euclid Avenue

Also, beginning Saturday, May 21, 6:30 am to  Sunday, May 22 at midnight, uptown C trains skip 72 St, 81 St, 86 St, 96 St, 103 St, 110 St and 116 St.
